Art historian Dr. Valerie Taylor, Brand Associates Board member and former Highlights Tour docent at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, will lead our tour and tell the fascinating story of the Brand family and “Miradero,” their historic home that is now Brand Library.
Valerie will also share information about the renovation and historic restoration that took place between 2012 and 2014.
Brand Library & Art Center is a branch of the City of Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department and has been a cornerstone for the arts in Southern California since 1956. This unique public library focuses on visual arts and music and provides free services and programs for a diverse community. Brand Library continues to develop programs, services, and collections to serve an ever-widening public interest in the arts.
