The Art of Gracie

For more than 125 years, Gracie has been renowned for their hand painted wallpapers that are featured in homes around the world. The company, which has been family run since it was founded by James Gracie in 1898, is currently led by the fifth-and-sixth-generation Gracies. Jennifer Gracie, the company’s Creative Director; her brother and company president, Mike Gracie; and her son and sales director, Zach Shea.

Now, in their first-ever book, The Art of Gracie, they go behind the scenes to share many never before seen spaces and rooms that feature a variety of Gracie wallpapers, from atmospheric landscapes and panoramic cityscapes; to wallpapers that shimmer with metallic details; to the lush, floral wallpapers that have defined the Gracie brand since its earliest days.

Please join us in welcoming Jennifer for this special talk as she walks through these spaces and the company’s storied past while also sharing insight into the intensive processes and 300-year-old hand painting techniques involved in creating Gracie’s designs.
