Please join us in welcoming Alex Esquibel as our newest instructor, who will lead our Introduction to Hand Drafting course. This class introduces the materials and mechanics needed to create hand-drafted architectural drawings. Topics will include short lectures and /or demonstrations followed by hands-on practice. The focus will be on orthogonal drawings. This class will provide an orientation to the unique materials and manual skills that are used in traditional hand drafting. Students will then complete a series of short exercises that focus on developing proper techniques for creating crisp linework, consistent and effective line weights, and maintaining a clean finished product; culminating in a drafted composition demonstrating the knowlege and skill acquired during this class.
