Wade Weissman and Mark Weaver

Please join the ICAA in welcoming a robust conversation between architect Wade Weissmann, and interior designer Mark Weaver. The discussion will be moderated by architectural historian, Eleanor Schrader. Wade and Mark are friends, and frequent collaborators, and have become adept at fusing their unique personalities and talents to create projects beloved by clients and showcasing their timeless style. Wade will also be signing copies of his second monograph, Homes of Quiet Elegance, after the event.

Wade Weissman is the founder and principal of Wade Weissman Architecture since 1994. A proud member of AIA, NCARB, and ICAA, he is also passionate supporter of the arts and is internationally recognized as a Keynote Speaker throughout the industry. Wade holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture form the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Wade opened his office in Santa Barbara in 2016 and has offices in Milwaukee, WI and Pittsburgh, PA.

Mark Weaver is a native of Southern California and resides between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. His extensive portfolio includes residential installations, private aircraft, yachts, private island retreats and corporate installations for Fortune 500 companies. As an adjunct professor, Mark regularly lectures at UCLA’s interior design program. He is also a member of the Decorative Arts Council for LACMA and a patron of the Los Angeles Opera, The Bellosguardo Foundation & the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

Eleanor Schrader received her MBA from Loyola Marymount University. Ms. Schrader has done graduate work in fine and decorative arts at Sotheby’s Institute in London and New York, and graduate studies in architectural history at USC. She is Professor Emeritus of Art and Architectural History at Santa Monica College. She conducts architectural tours in Los Angeles, and has served as a Design Review Commissioner for the City of Beverly Hills. She was awarded the UCLA Extension Department of the Arts Instructor of the Year Award in 2002 and the UCLA Extension Distinguished Instructor Award in 2008.
