The ICAA Southern California celebrated its 20th year in 2024. We would not be here without the generosity of our sustaining donors. Please see below for further information on what your sponsorship makes possible. As always, sponsorships are fully tax deductible.
A snapshot on where your sponsorship dollars go:
• Our New Heights program, an education initiative entering its twelfth year, holds programming for local Los Angeles schools, including field trip days to local landmarks including the Huntington and Getty Villa. This initiative introduces local students to architecture and classical design through a five day program. We work within the LAUSD system, as well as private schools, and bring the program free of charge to all students. New Heights has proven so popular at our initial school, Girls Academic Leadership Academy, that they have developed a high school program for those students who want to pursue architecture further.
• Lectures and book signings by esteemed colleagues, experts and practitioners. Behind the scenes access to local artisans studios, significant home tours, garden tours, webinars from relative sites around the world, and so much more. • Annually, we award full scholarships for students and enthusiasts to attend our intensive program on the study of Classical Architecture at our headquarters in New York City, or a regionally hosted program by a fellow chapter.
• Our annual ICAA members-only Summer party is attended by the leaders in the design world within Southern California, and the camaraderie amongst our members only becomes more boisterous as we have almost doubled our membership in the last few years.
• Instruction for studio and online classes about theory and practice for topics including drawing, the Classical Orders, moldings, watercolor, and field sketching, to name a few.
• Organizational costs associated with spearheading our community’s promotion and preserving the practice, understanding and appreciation of classical design.
