The Ornament Program is a one week introduction to the history, language and design concepts of ornament and its role in architectural decoration. Developed for both the enrichment and to visually express the symbolic purpose of buildings, the use of ornament evolved into the great unifying element binding the arts of painting and sculpture with architecture.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2018  Professional Intensive: New York scholarship recipients: Ellyse Malone & Michelle Tiet.   Ellyse hails from Australia with a background of study and practice that includes architecture, printmaking, life drawing and interior architecture. She currently is an intern at Kym Rodger Design.

In 2017, the ICAA Southern California Chapter launched New Heights for 6th grade students at the Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA), the first all girls public school in LAUSD.  The chapter is continuing this program in 2018 for both the 6th and 7th grade students at GALA.  We aim to expand the appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture, urbanism, and the allied arts through
